1968

PPNP was established on 11 January 1968 and the first route is Bangka Belitung - Singapore to transport break-bulk cargo.

1988

Starts operating a semi-container ship, KM Niaga 56, to serve Jakarta - Banjarmasin route.

1990

Operates 10 container ships and served 5 routes, Jakarta - Ujung Pandang, Jakarta - Banjarmasin, Jakarta - Balikpapan, Jakarta - Samarinda, Eastern Indonesia, and Surabaya - Ujung Pandang.

1993

Adds 2 container ships, Caraka Jaya Niaya III - 31 and Caraka Jaya Niaga III - 23.

2002

Developing business by opening Surabaya - Banjarmasin route.

2007

Selected as General Agent in Indonesia for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).

2015

PPNP buys Sinar Praya, a container ship with 562 TEUs capacity, in February 2015.

2016

PPNP improves the capacity and quality of services by operating Sinar Papua, a container ship with 564 TEUs, for Surabaya - Makassar route.
Signs an agreement for two new vessels, a container ship with 600 TEUs capacity and 8.000 DWT, that will operate in 2018.

2018

KM Sinar Pomalaa and KM Sinar Penida first sail.
